Jesus Told Nicodemus about Eternal Life (John 3)
Bible Story Summary: One night, a religious man named Nicodemus came to see Jesus. Jesus told Nicodemus that unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Jesus told Nicodemus that the only way to be born again was to believe in Him. Only faith in Jesus gives us eternal life.
Big Picture Q&A: How do we know God loves us? We can know that God loves us because He gave us Jesus to forgive the sins of the world.
Christ Connection: Nicodemus needed new life— eternal life—but he could not do anything to earn it. Eternal life is a gift that comes only from God. God showed His love in this way: He sent His one and only Son to save the world. Everyone who believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life.
Family Discussion Starters:
What did Jesus say that confused Nicodemus?
Why does Jesus say we must be born again?
What is God’s great plan that Jesus shared with Nicodemus?
Family Activity: Review the different parts of The Gospel as a family. Using this tool, take turns sharing the gospel with each other. Finish by praying that the Lord would bring people into your life that you can share His good news with.

The King of All Kings
Pg. 192-199 | Matthew 2 | Video
Introduction: The promised King of Israel was unlike any other king before Him. He was truly God and a humble servant to those He would rule over. God continues to reveal Jesus’ life to particular people. These people would seek Him and acknowledge Him as the Savior of the world. God revealed the Good News about Jesus to three men who were wise because they recognized Jesus for who He truly is, the King of the world.
Big Truth: God sent a Savior
Our hearts are broken and our world is broken. Because we can’t fix things, we need a savior to make things right and restore relationships. Thankfully, God sent Jesus and the victory over sin and death is already won!
Activity: Sing “Hallelujah, Praise Ye the Lord” and explain that we sing worship music to God because of who He is and what He has done.

The Friend Who Forgives
Biblical Concept: Jesus taught that I can tell others I’m sorry when I hurt them.
Play: Forgiveness – When Jesus rose from the dead, he forgave Peter for saying they weren’t friends. Can you practice forgiveness? When you do something wrong you can say, “I’m sorry,” and when someone does something wrong to you and they say sorry, you can say, “Thank you for saying sorry, I accept your apology.”
