Jesus Told a Woman about Living Water (John 4)
Bible Story Summary: Jesus met a Samaritan woman at a well and told her that whoever drinks from the water He gives will never be thirsty again. Jesus said He gives the Holy Spirit and eternal life to those who believe in Him. Jesus told the woman that He is the Messiah. Jesus said that we can now worship God in spirit and in truth wherever we are.
Big Picture Q&A: How do we know God loves us? We can know that God loves us because He gave us Jesus to forgive the sins of the world.
Christ Connection: Jesus offers something better than physical water; He gives us Himself. Jesus gives the Holy Spirit to everyone who comes to Him by faith. We can worship Him as Lord and Savior wherever we are.
Family Discussion Starters:
Why was the Samaritan woman surprised that Jesus was talking to her?
What is the difference between the water from the well and the living water that Jesus offers?
Family Activity: Visit the website for Living Water International (water.cc) to learn more about the efforts to provide clean water for those in need. Pray for the well-digging projects and for the missionaries. Discuss how LWI offers people physical water and living water.

Heaven Breaks Through
Pg. 200-207 | Matthew 3; Luke 1, 3; John 1
Introduction: At the very beginning, God made a promise. He promised that He would send a Rescuer to save His people. God ALWAYS keeps His promises. Today, we are learning about God fulfilling His promise to rescue sinners. Although it was not the way the Israelites expected God to rescue them, He affirmed that Jesus was the Savior when John the Baptist baptized Him! We are all in need of being rescued, and Jesus is our Great Rescuer, too!
Big Truth: God sent a Savior
Our hearts are broken and our world is broken. Because we can’t fix things, we need a savior to make things right and restore relationships. Thankfully, God sent Jesus and the victory over sin and death is already won!
Activity: Sing “Jesus Loves Me” and explain that Jesus loves your children and has come to save them.

The Garden, the Curtain, and the Cross
This is the story of the gospel! You can watch the story here.
Play: Rip the Curtain – With scrap paper, have the kids tear it up like the curtain tore in the temple when Jesus died. Explain how the curtain separated people from God, but because of Jesus life, death and resurrection, we are no longer separated from God!

WRL Babies
The Bible Tells about God
This week’s biblical concept for our babies is “The Bible tells about God.” We can begin introducing our Littles to the truths of the Bible even at their very young age.
Tell your Littles that everything in the Bible is true and tells us about God.
Pray over them that the Holy Spirit would reveal truth from the youngest age, and that they wouldn’t remember a day they weren’t walking with God.
